(Il Divo - Time to Say Goodbye)


This isn't going to be a pretty post. so if it offends you, move along.

But it's time to say goodbye in SO many ways. not all of them good.

We were completely, utterly and unfairly ref'd out of our netball final today. so much so that we are now making a formal complaint about the ref followed by a letter and deflecting to the monday competition (and their rival company)... FOR GOOD. it wasn't pretty. and we aren't being sore losers but we had no hope when all the calls were against us and for them. . . . :(

and it is so so disappointing to go back to work after a game and know that we could have easily won it had the ref been FAIR.

I had a great morning this morning, but it all seemed to go downhill. . .

if there's anything i really dislike, it is being micro-managed. Note to all: You are not doing yourself any favours by micromanaging me. It is detrimental. It's uncalled for. It's counter-productive.

I know what i need to do. I know my deadlines. And i don't need you asking me every 5 minutes what i am doing.

OKAY??? :(

Think it's time i think about my future (funny that, it was this time last year i was thinking about it too...).

I just don't want to be a one-year wonder everywhere...

where do i start?

we rock up to netball, trek it in the heat to find that the other team is a no show. WASTE OF TIME. bumped into GE ppl on the way back . . . awkward!

and i give two of my payroll lists to the girls to help me collect timesheets and they don't even do it properly. MEGA WASTE OF TIME AND SUPER STRESSFUL.

but the winner is....

my weekend feels so fulfilled eventhough i didn't do much.

spent the morning baking :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

it's like my 'me' time. i was so content in the kitchen on my own this morning... and when parents came back from the shops i was like 'shhhh you're disrupting me!!!' hahaha

but i made heaps of yummy stuff.

choc chip cookies
melting moments
mango cupcakes (pretty fail, i shouldn't be left to my own devices sometimes...)
almond cookies (sugar-free, i overbaked them oops but theyre just for me)
bailey's cheesecake.

hey joyce, the reason why you didnt get any cheesecake was because it was still warm and i had to put it in the fridge. maybe you can have a slice if there's still some tomorrows, or tuesday :) :) :) :) :)

all done and dusted in about 3 hours, dropped off some goodies to joyce and came back just in time to watch Qantas fail some more and the last netball game between Australia and NZ for 2011. which we won of course, world champs again :) :) :) :) :)

netball started with a win and we played in beautiful albeit HOT sunny weather!!! :):):) go our all girls team! (in a mixed comp... whoo!)

and had a meeting yesterday and found out that they made someone i shall not name redundant. MASSIVE WIN!! hopefully, this will turn into good things for me! yay!!!

and and and Hawaii Five-0 is back!!!

its just all happening!

been a pretty shiat week all around.

we played shithouse netball today. and the opposing team weren't even that good. we just fell apart. no idea what happened. gave away all these penalties and intercepts. lost by a whopping 10. can't even blame the two new kids on the block. we. were. SHIT.

works keeping me super busy. felt like a debt collection/chaser today. just pay us damn you!!! it's overdue you govt entities thinking youre above the law!!! bwahahaha.

cannot wait for the booze 4 pm tomorrow. and i'm the one who ordered it. teehehehehehe. free reign on the credit card!! woohoo!! . . . jokes. there are limits.

been coming home this week every day exhausted.

payroll is so full on and hectic. add a million ppl coming to you and asking why this invoice is this amount and why their pay advice is this  and where their super contribution is and i'm like...

slowest game of the comp for sure. i barely broke a sweat until we switched positions at half time. and we were a player down the first half.

go team!!!

and i absolutely hate fixing other people's mistakes. but its part of the job, part of being in a team and part of life.

suck it up princess.

so i spent a lot of money on my very neglected aquarium.

its looking at lot better now... at least it actually has more than 2 fish in it!! and lots of shnazzy looking plants too.

YAY!

i need a new filter soon. this ones way old and getting kinda noisy. the new FLUVAL is tremendously expensive but looks really cool.

also . . i think i am after years and years away from the game, addicted to netball again. all because of my new work ppl!!! its like... my ops manager especially. . . lives and breathes netball every spare second she - we - get.

watched the game today. play during lunches . . . whats next?

need to start studying soon. so not ready.

i am soooo glad my ops manager gets back on monday!!!

today, i spent all morning with my "partner in crime" (fellow finance guru) whilst he was trying to teach me these reports. so i spent 3 hours writing notes - he didnt stop for me - nor did he explain things very well - in fact, he was pretty much going in circles. and by the end of it he said

"oh but don't worry about it. you probably won't need to do this"

how do u think i felt after that?!?!?!?!

like NOT cool bro. when you're going to teach someone something, at least have a plan?

not just open up a gazillion windows and spreadsheets and copy from one to another. that doesn't make any sense for me!

anyhoo - its the weekend. what to do?

legs are soooo sore from netball. played centre for the first time since primary school. O_O wasn't toooooo bad. just ran my legs off

had just the one at the argyle tonight. barely settled in and someone's leaving already!! =(

first game in like . . . YEARS.

sooooo much fun.

and we won.

whoohoo.. every thursday lunchtime. :-D
