me and my two favourite colleagues went for drinks at our fav bar after work. it was packed! had a bottle of white between us. yummy~
was a littttle bit dizzy since hadnt eaten since pho lunch with carl. but so good to mingle and gossip =D =D =D
oh yes, lunch with carl. mr high-roller. ah, like as a banker sucks just as much as it does working in FEF. both in the finance industry. hahaha. yeah great to catch up. hope we can do it again soon. time permitting.
it started to drizzle a little bit when we left so we went our separate ways. im glad he works so close to me =)
its like email
"ok i'm leaving now. i'll see u in 5"
=D =D =D
two massive zits on my face. not enough sleep. stress and pressure. and no, i do not take my work home with me.

it wasn't even deliberate.
i went to the shops for groceries. just a couple of extra ingredients i needed for a cake.
i come home with a trunk load of stuff. no joke~
~ myer: sunbeam cafe seies 850 watt mixmaster in red; similar to the one i always wanted for my birthday
(15% off, plus extra 10% off for members and then an additional $30 cashback)

~ jacqui e: work pants
~ portmans: 2 belts
~ coles: baking ingredients (OMFG THEY RAN OUT OF EGGS... -_-")
~ diva: 2 headbands (during work)
i am so buggered today. like it was so quiet in the office. i was so focussed on all my work and the pressures beginning to build. was a little bit over it today. its hard when you aren't really told how to do things properly...
and lol
gas leak in the building.
and lifts weren't working.
team leader had an interview in the arvo. and her and another team leader had to walk down the stairs. LOL LOL LOL.
and and and
hahaha she fell off her chair today. =D we all cracked up at that. actually, it was more like, she was in such a hurry to return to her desk that she sort of tripped over it and her chair went crashing to the ground. =D =D =D
tired. but content. for the time being. wishing it was the weekend already~

and it turned out perfect.
and stupid me had to ruin it by trying to transfer it upside down whilst still extremely hot onto wire rack.
and it just collapsed.
yes. i was swearing. a lot.
because it was a gluten-free cake. with almond meal and gluten-free flour. and white chocolate
very expensive.

at the easter show 2010.
with my three awesomest, bestest, favouritest, daring and high-roller flowers!
... and i finally got the time and decided to sit on my lazy ass and type about it.
so friday night, i give val a call and i said i'd pick her up about a quarter to 9 so that we got there fairly early but not too late so that it was so busy already. and she said, oh i can go earlier you know. how about you come at 8:15. lol. yeah ok.
we didn't get on a bus until about 9:50 in the end anyway because as usual, sydney transport is never on time. and since no one (except smart and organised people like myself) prepaid for their ticket, it took even longer while the bus driver tried to work out how much it was and how much change to give inapt people who could not even do simple mathematics (more on that later).
so obviously, val and i get to the show quite the early. and we stop by the atm and then make a beeline for the freshfood dome. COFFEE PLEASE!
$3.50 coffees from some organic stand. the lady was quite the still asleep and lost. i asked for a capp and got a latte. but i drink both so it didn't bother me. we turn the corner and this other shop is doing coffee for $2. EPIC FAIL. lol but they had sausage tasting plates so we got one of them. YUMMO. esp that honey flavoured one.
and we walk around the freshfood hall seeing what else was available. waffles caught our eye but we never ended up having time for them. the edible-looking soap attracted val's eye and we were roped into testing flavoured teas.
not long after, D arrives. and V is like. no i want oysters, like now! so we get a half dozen to road test. another wYnner. so good. in fact, they were so good that we decided that we needed to get some white wine to wash it down with. unwilling to pay $30 for a bottle of Tyrell's, Val leads the way and takes us to the HV Wine Society stand. where we could taste Tyrells and other whites for free provided that you strike up a conversation and pretend you know all this sht about wine and imply that the hunter wines are not good enough for you and therefore, no you would not like to commit to a dozen bottles of wine with free membership per quarter. sorry ken doll.
we had a look at crocs whilst we waited for the fruit (late as per usual might i add). then we did the first half of the animal walk. a first for them. we stopped after getting corn cobs and german hot dogs and went to the main arena for robosaurus and extreme sports. those yamaha fmx riders... O_O wow.
we wanted to go watch the pig racing but it was full by the time we got to the stand. so we got more food - cheese on a stick, pluto pups, jumbo lemonade, prawns, more oysters, ribs...
saw some more animals - cats, horses and dogs. BABY SCOUT WAS SOOOOO CUTE i could not stop gushing about him.
then we did some rides. hahahahhaa epic. pirates revenge was awesome. sky flyer got a bit boring. and well, extreme speed... yes, i was quite distressed in the queue . but it was fantastic. can't say that i would want to do it again. and coming down face first is quite traumatic but im so glad i did. even if the photo of me looks like im shitting myself.
and of course, we had to pay the premium for the not so good quality photo to prove it all.
val and i also blew $10 each on this stupid basketball game. and the guy wasn't even that nice. grr im glad i stopped after $10.
and we did dodgem cars as well. fun fun fun. especially ramming into the other two =D
so disappointed in the show bag pavillion as well. cleo AND madison were sold out...
WTF
WTF
WTF
=( =(
so i got a couple of crap magazine bags and my ovalteenies
we finally got to watch the pig race (i thought the fruit would have cried if we missed it the third time). hahaha. pretty awesome. so adorably cute in a way.
wasted some more money on light sabers.
ate some more. waffles with fresh cream, more corn and my twisted chips and iced coffee. yay! i wasn't dreaming those fries up!!! but i wouldn't get them again, theyre not that special. and not that crispy either. more of a novelty.
we had to stand to watch the fireworks cause it was so packed. got to see the fmx riders again. and boring robosaurus. fireworks were pretty good though. longer than anticipated.
then it was pretty much home time. long, eventful, slightly tiring but pretty awesome day. got a little bit sunburnt. and didn't spend as much as i would have thought. =D
happy wynwyn~

never have i appreciated a long weekend thus!
Manly, Manly, MANLY!!!
i woke up feeling rather under-the-weather. is that the expression? thought i'd get over it. i didn't and it got worse. so much so that i needed to buy drugs when we got to manly. they didn't help that much. neither did the hot and cold. rain and sunshine.
but what an awesomely epic day. photos. food. BEN & GERRY'S. photos. markets. FERRY!
me and donna are like. awesome-epic-high. screaming on the ferry. copping all the wind whilst one is sick. probs ended up MORE sick cause of it. had calamari and chips. sat on the beach in the sun. so good. banana split. and had time to get back to reality and buy some bakeware at myer @ 35%. WYN!
Sick, Sick, Family Gathering.
pretty average day. the aunties (and uncles) mahjonged away the afternoon. whilst i was cooped up in my room all drugged and rugged up. did not feel good. *shakes head* no. but had a pretty good evening. but most of my cousins are DAWGS. justin. andrew. amy. andrew. *insert unimpressed face*. i have the cutest niece and nephew though (niece and nephew are loosely termed). adorabubbly.
Is it Monday already?
this morning, me and sis were preparing for her 18th by taking advantage of the half price sales at coles and stocked up on drinks. too bad liquorland had no breezers by the case. disappointing but we can just go to dan murphy's later. oh and yes, of course, had to buy a bag of half price easter eggs. i wanted the hunting eggs but there were none left =( not that it matters that much. less chocolate = less calories.
came home and baked again! yay~ i love baking weekends. and i made hazelnut macarons. and they turned out pretty alright!! *cheers* and then made lemon tart cause had egg yolks left over and lots of lemons outside. that was good too. with whipped cream. =D
can't believe its like evening already. i feel like ive eaten nothing all day. except trying my macarons and a slice of lemon tart. (which is literally what i've had all day). i wish i was over this cold already. its getting old.
can't believe its back to work tomorrow already. i totes heart long weekends like i've never loved them before. its so different this time around. =]
and i would love to go somewhere next long weekend...

i tried to sleep in. i really did.
but the phone rang.
and my alarm went off.
and the sun came shining through.
i pretty much had a laizze-faire baking afternoon. baked, waited, baked, frosted, waited, frosted, waited, decorated.
in between watching my gluten-free and personally adapted recipe rise, bubble, rise and then fall in the oven. all whilst thinking.. this is it. i stuffed it bad. cause i almost had a unable-to-calculate-proportions-moment (following on from unable to calculate amounts owing the previous night). turned out surprisingly ok. moist. a little darker than what i would have expected. but otherwise, all it needed was a trim and some frosting.
so let that cool whilst i baked my lime cheesecake. mm back to basics. lemon cheesecake (albeit a no-bake one) was the first cheesecake i probably ever made. this ones baked though. smelt good. i love limes. whilst cooling, a baby crack appeared which disappointed me some.
good thing i had planned to top it with a layer of white velvety smooth chocolate mousse yummy. dark chocolate bark border with a pretty white ribbon. a couple of chocolate shavings on the top. and when i finish it, i think im either going to have lime wedges or a sliced lime twist as the centerpiece.
in all, happy for a day's work. all gluten-free. which might i add, is extremely expensive compared to normal ingredients.
had a shit dinner party at the godbros though. me and fobs dont mix. me and younger kids don't mix in big bunches - especially when they were all boys. me and loud asians don't mix. *kaboom*

"we have no power"
me
*jumps up and down*
so we go for coffee and breakfast =) and easter egg shopping
power comes back on but the systems down. LOL! AWESOME! so we could only do basic menial tasks like check and respond to emails.
then we have morning tea with easter raffle (that was rigged) and hot cross buns. like hundreds of them. whoever catered was well, they went way over the top.
had lunch at the park. such a nice day outside.
come back to office and try to find things to do. and then eventually told we could go early. WOOT WOOT!
good day~
i need a skin for my itouch. i see surface scratches already. inevitable i suppose.
