slept in deliberately eventhough i got up every hour periodically since 6 in the morning. i managed to stay in bed until 11 =)
it was so windy today.. and was probably one of the slowest 4 hours on a saturday ive ever worked. felt more like a sunday and it was so boring.
we went to beverly hills for dinner. and we got this separate room from the rest of the people dining.. it was like we were kinda important.
got bluetoothed some goodies from andrew =D

another excuse for the wine to flow. hahaha
what we did to make it 'aussie'
-i made green and gold jelly unintentionally (monkey pointed that out.. we only had pineapple, lemon and lime. what a coincidence)
-chucked some LAMB (amongst other things) on the good ol' barbie
-had a p-a-r-t-y
oh yeah and i owned my aunts at mahjong for a couple of rounds. LOLS a little bit of a streak to win some of the money mum lost back. hahahahaha they were like.. wtf.. beaten by some noob. that was fun. me such a gambler. hahaha
so much food. and yes, i confess, i "bought" the cakes that I MADE. so prettiful.
and party continues tomorrows.. with a work interlude. damn.

i was on the floor for maybe.. 3 hours today.. the rest of it was spent at the registers.. =( i mean, it wasnt that bad but like... i'd prefer to be on the floor. no questions asked. and now that they know im register trained, i have no excuse for avoiding a code 1. damn it. hahaha there are many ways to get around it though.
anyhow, instead of going out, cause i felt like absolute shit.. had a not so quiet dinner in hurstville with all my relos since uncle and uncle were leaving on the weekend. and it was funny, dad and 2 other uncles were in red polos and the other 3 uncles were in checkered blue shirts. so well coordinated and they were sitting red, checkered, red checkered. HAHAHA. uh.. yes.
i wore justins very oversized cardy cause i was so cold. lol.. and craned my neck to watch haas win the quarter finals.

i spent most of my days drenched in baby socks. after clearing the whole module and marking them all down and then putting them back onto the module making it look hot and separating clearance from non-clearance we get MORE socks. and sara and lauras like hahahaha wynnie u got more socks. -___-
no special visitor today (again) so we were all cleaning and cleaning and being on our best behavious for.. well, nothing.
worked out my hours. im gonna reach my max of 37 hours this week. in fact, i was actually over so i had to swap saturdays shift with mans. yes! no 8 oclock start =D
oh yeah, and they think its all of a sudden important to register train all us experienced floor ppl. so tomorrow, i will b on register training. oh the joy. (hear my sarcasm?) floor kills registers anyday.. those ppl are alienated from us. like seirously, no one knows their names.

at this rate, im working my way towards 37+ per week which means OVERTIME pay!! =D 16 hours in 2 days.. 4 more big days to come. but i'll prolly cancel or give them to one of the girls.

can it get any hoottttter.
haha i woke up early this morning... so i go to westfield and only targets open.. so i go in the talk to people. and sara's like.. ok ur gonna work4 hours today. got it? and im like.. hahahaha okay! (since it was sunday). so had 4 ppl in kids in the arvo whoo. relayed big boys.. what a nightmare.
oh went to miss saigon for lunch.. and i got a bowl of pho yeah.. and i tried so freakin damn hard to finish it.. i think i ate about half of it before i was like.. thats it.. no more. cant eat anymore. yes, i suck. -_-
laura dropped me home. the girl and shift gear = scary. hahaha
im tired now. think i'll go to sleep soon.

slept off last night's party in preparation for tonights. hahaha
the wedding ceremony was at the botanic gardens which was lovely but there was barely any shade and it was HOT. it was in a pretty public place so there were some uncontrollable factors. eg, boats honking their horns, kids screaming and tourists. but it was all good. we tried to stay under two trees.. haha like 100 ppl under 2 trees.. funny funny.
went home for a change of clothes and headed to chinatown for the reception. food was okay.. came out kinda slow though. and the waiter attending our table was annoying.. (like last nights one). took all our drinks away and didnt offer refills until we asked.. anyhow got through the night on tea cause i was DD (AGAIN) and i dont do non-sugarfree cola or OJ.
and i did my own hair today.. kicks the stylz hairdo from yr 12 formal anyday. and its FREE. i love curling tongs and hair spray and bobby pins. hahaha go me. oh and nadia calls just as i get to to reception. damn girl, im not gonna work tomorrow! (here's hoping. more than likely, they will call me again).

so like this morning, i meet up with nadia to shop for sara's pressie.. and we got that done in like 10 mins so we go into target to visit mans. and so we're chatting.. and both of our phones ring at the same time.. and its *drum roll* target! we had the day off but nooooo have to work.
so hahah we had to go home and change.. anyhow turns out we had this massive massive truck with heaps and heaps of stock. and they literally tried to call everyone they could in. in the end, i had 6 of the guys splitting pallets (11 in total) for me while i was working the stock. and that was sooo tiring. all day just running around. and the guys.. well. ahaha martin screams like a girl. lionel put on this hot pink robe. (LOL) michael pages 'wynnie the p' to soundbar. and i was in the back so all the guys are just cracking up. and yeah.. they were so mean =( hahaha but it was cool. poor sandy tonight though.
went to party =D =D sara's 21st which turned out better than expected. haha wayne and his crab claw was hilarious. food was good but wasted heaps of it.. =S and i didnt have a drop of alcohol cause i was DD (stabs nadia.. hahaha) bankstown is a shifty place these days though. armed security and dogs patrolling the streets like crazy. and we werent allowed to get to our cars by outself.. made sure at least one of the guys were with us which was a good thing.
anyhooo.. im pooped.. i need some sleep for tomorrow.

so i get up at 5:30 for dawn session at gym.. see all the early regulars. then went to grandmas to get 2nd and 5th uncles and heyman cause dad and i were taking them to hunter valley.
we stopped by village town of cessnock for lunch before continuing on to the lower valley.
guess who got to drive? =D its actually quite tiring driving all day but oh the joy of watching them taste wine...
this red p plater thought he was so cool when he overtook me (i was already going at 105) and i was like.. i hope you get pulled over. that didnt happen but i did get to reovertake him.. bastard. hahaha
we went to the fairly new hunter valley gardens too. but since all the forrestry was still young, there wasnt much shade and in 36 degree sun, i got BURNT. so i have this majorly weird tan =( but it was nice there.. if it was spring it wouldve been even better. entrance fee was a huge rip off though.
got back to sydney around 6:30 so we decided to go to beverly hills for dinner.. i dropped by work to see wat was going on tmorrow.. and its actually quite busy. and haha the secrets out.. but not like its my fault. had to see laura and nads bout tomorrow. dropped by lunchroom cause tats where nads was hiding so i sat around and had a bit of a talk with her and couple of the guys. and had a quick peek at my roster. big week but the two important days: sunday and fri im not rostered =D alls good.
then went to grandmas to drop them off and sat around a bit before coming home. and in dire need of aloe vera and lotion. burns burns burns

so much for a four hour shift... i got a 9 hour one instead. but relaying is so much fun.. especially when laura and mans were both here.. that was a crack up.. amanda stacks it on a blouse arm and falls onto the heap of clothes on the floor.. and wayne walks past and he's like 'i knew u were all unstable.. now youve just proven it'. hahahaha couldnt stop laughing.
so we relayed walls of little girls so they look sooo good. and i fixed the clearance so that looks sweet too. then had to help set up the ad.
and sometimes, just sometimes, not knowing is better than knowing. i think i need someone to talk to.. *sigh*

and damn scary.
went to birkenhead today with monkey. it was pretty shit. in fact, i dont think i will be going back there for a very very long time. each time i go there, there are literally less and less shops. everything just keeps closing down to the point that there is NO point in travelling so far to shop. so i hope dfo either increases its standards or at the very least, maintain it.
oh haha did i mention i made the monkey chuck a sickie to go shopping with me? HAHAHAHA it doesnt matter.. her bosses are fully slack and dont abide by work relations laws and shes quiting so screw them.
and we got home so early i had time to make up my missed morning session at the gym

boooring day at work. had barely anything to do.
and im making the monkey chuck a sickie tomorrow so we can go shopping. lol hilarious

was sort of a on and off bored day. there were the periods of high demand especially in nursery but apart from tat it wasnt too bad. closing was surprisingly easy which was good. all neat and clean
i found my book again =D =D so all happy there

oh myer had this really nice white leather bag... =( its out of my range

staring at two pieces of paper for over 2 hours.. it can be so entertaining.. now i need to save about one and a half grand.. easier said than done. tomorrows 9-5 will help though. lets see *mentally calculates* cut back on shopping will save me a good couple of hundred.. hmm

called in early.. and im in the back dock with no aircon and like sauna temperatures splitting pallets.. IN MY TARGET SHIRT. seriously melting.. even sara was like.. cant believe u split 3 pallets in this heat.. im like.. i reckon eh. then for nightfill the aircon wasnt working.. painful. could not wait for the 10 oclock.
oh yeah we had some seriously fully fully cheap nursery gear.. high chairs going out for less than 20 bucks, stroller for 30 (freakin bargain and a half), car seats for 99.. and bikes for less than half price. we sold 13 PALLETS of bikes today.. that was crazy.
im rather upset cause ive lost something really important to me =( =( and i cant find it anywhere. and i couldve sworn i left it on the table.. but its not there. arghh

target has this massive shortage of trolleys. and poor laura had these really difficult customers with really bad BO who were like.. we want to buy this stroller.. can u find us a trolley? and this is after wasting 35 minutes of our time.. so she goes to the back and empties one of the ones with stock in it to bring it out to them.. and the womans like 'we want to take this to the next suburb. is that ok?' and laura does a double take and was literally 'wtf?!' and so theyre like 'yeah yeah, we live in kogarah and we need the trolley to take the stroller home. can i speak to a manager?' and so laura calls the manager and hahahaha that was so funny.
we're selling this book for 5 cents (no joke) and cd racks for 3.41 if anyone wants one. lol i doubt there'll be any left by tomorrow.
have this killer headache =( but i feel better cause guess who has an all day sunday shift =D

mums day to shop and also our last day. in the morning, we went to say bye to grandma and had brekkie at cafe de coral in Tin Shui Wah.
then we went around tuen mun shopping centre one final time.. grabbed myself another two absoloutely adorable nohohons and stocked up on earrings and hair accessories.
then went with mum to markets to get dried goods.
came back.. took lil coz down the the b-ball court and had a few shots until we had to go. went back upstairs to make sure everything was packed. and uncle took us to dee airport.
where we had a shit and very rude ground person to do our check in. thank goodness, this other lady took over (coinceidently, her name was also winnie) and she was v nice and helpful. we got our boarding passes just in time.. and we were probably one of the last ppl to board the plane. but hey, we still managed to depart early so that was good.
watched the comedy debate again (so funny) and the queen (boring..) and had a couple of hours sleep before we touched down.

all about being local today.
shopped within the vicinity of tuen mun. not that it mattered.. there were heaps of shops for me to go through here too =D
and it was all about dun darn (those steamed egg desserts.. soooo good) and egg tarts =D thats all i ate hahaha
oh and their fresh milk bread.. so soft and yummy.. =( i miss it already
we went for dinner at the seafood restaurant (we had yum cha there for lunch too).. then went home to start packing.

started with brekkie downstairs at Fairwood before we got on a red light bus to mong kok. we did the touristy things:
- fa yuen street and
- lady's market which, has been so commercialised that the goods are no longer cheap. they just aim to rip foreigners off as much as possible.
had a quick break at maccas.. how come our sundaes dun have nuts? =( and then 'borrowed' the toilet from the mx cafe.. lol.. literally just walked in and went to the toilet and went back out.
anyhow, we were just walking through the streets and there was this esprit outlet.. and im like.. omg we are SO going in there.. and i was in esprit heaven.. so cheap.. if i had more time, i wouldve literally browsed everything item by item.. the store was freakin huge.. wish i coulda gotten more.. but we were short on time.
we had to hunt for the light bus stop.. went back to uncles.. dropped off all our shopping and went to grandmas for dinner. mmm yummy yummy steamed fish =D

yum cha in the morning with grandma @ maxims. the we went to san hui where i feel important cause all the old ppl know our grandma =D. got my watch fixed and got a new one too.. cause it was pretty =D.
then we bussed and mtred to north point and found this really really nice department store.. and shopped of course. and then we headed bac towards causeway bay by foot so we could browse all the shops along the way. at fortress ill, we got on the mtr to Kwai Fong where there was another really good shopping centre.
had Yoshinoya for dinner.. their menu kicks ours 10 times over.. their hot pot was really good. and starbucks is SO SHIT.
anyhow, i literally had to be pulled out of the shops. ;) eventually, we caught to 61M back to tuen mun.

yum cha in the morning. monkey was feeling like shit so i managed to convince her to stay home with coz =D
so mum and i hopped on the 140M to Tsing Ho. we got off at the terminal where there was a huge shopping centre. it was new and nice and clean and there werent that many people!!! and i LOVED the shops.. i bought so much.. =D =D cause of the sales, some stuff was pretty cheap too.
and coincidently, when we got on to get to tsing ho, there was this white woman with a little girl and 2 grandparents.. who got on at hk gold coast.. and when we went back to tuen mun via light bus, they were on our bus too. like.. what was the probability of that happening?
in the arvo, dropped by grandmas.. LOL there was this rat running along the street which fully freaked the monkey out. hahaha. but yes, it was quite gross.

woke up to shitty weather and i pretty much had a feeling it would be a pretty bad day. and i was right. i wasnt in much of a mood to shop.
but we went to causeway bay anyway.. and there were just so many people that it zapped by energy away.. the shops weren't great either. i think it was cause they were all spaced out.. like it wasnt exactly a shopping centre. it was more like a district where there are loads of shops. but none of which caughtmy eye =(
we caught a tram to north point.. only to walk all the way back to our starting point.. and get a massive headache while at it.

happy new year! i spent it shopping =)
went to admiralty in hong kong island. this place was top brands galore. and amazingly, the day was filled with blue skies.. that was like a first ever.
since the place was so uppity class, it was more a browse and admire more than a buy as much as u can.. wasnt very interested in stuff like lv and versace and gucci.
anyhow, in the evening, took coz and aunt to sushi train.. where my coz ate like 3 different dishes in total -_-.. so the point of sushi training is..? haha but he's so adorable. he went to galaxyworld (watever that call it) afterwards.. and hes like addicted to this dino game.. and it was so cute cause apparently, it was a you help each other out even if u dont know the person playing.. like they had to collect cards or something and use it to fight or watever.. and all these kids just crowd around offering their different cards.. =S i dunno.. i was more focused on shopping =D

last day in gz was more laidback. just walked around in the morning.. some market shopping for some dried produce.
we had yum cha at the hotel.. it was really nice.. atmosphere and all. all the waiters for some reasons were really young.. in their 20s i would say.
then we checked out.. had our stuff taken by the bellboy and got the shuttle bus back to the train station.. where our train was delayed by over an hour. =X
so by the time we got back to hk it was pretty late.

day 2 of GZ was all about sightseeing via the fast and efficient metro network. first stop was the Chan Clan Museum. some amazing architecture and old buildings here. just like the ones you see in movies. then we had a walk up the gardens to see the 5 Rams. really good cause climbing those stairs was fun!
then we stopped by this Memorial Hall where it was kind of like the museum in canberra. a lot about the city and the province's history.. what happened when and so on. also dropped by the Historical Gallery.
we went to a traditional yumcha place for lunch where they served not so typical dim sims. they were still really nice though.. gosh, the food is so cheap. no wonder visitors love the place.
in the afternoon, we went for a bit of shopping around the vicinity of our hotel.. got an engraving for my chinese name and this nice little bag =). and i noticed that there were a lot of gwailos in the area and staying at our hotel with little asian babies. turns out that they come here deliberately to adopt orphaned children. sad but heartwarming. so there were a lot of shops near the hotel with baby clothes and free stroller hire and so on.

light bused it to some place in mong kok while it was still dark. then we caught a cab to hung hom station where we (well, they) had maccas for brekkie. and it was like my kid cozin and the monkey were trying to out eat each other.. completely gross. they did this pretty much for the rest of our stay. amusing. we caught the 8:something train to guangzhou. it was approx a 2 hour ride. pretty uneventful and slow. but knowing the fobs, them getting off the station is like them running to pick up free money.. i still dont get it.. whats the rush?
upon arrival, money goes to me 'we're getting picked up by a limo' so im like.. oh oh reallllly? and what does it turn out to be? a light bus to our 5 star hotel, the White Swan. and hahaha traffic is a joke. whoever heard of obeying road rules..
guangzhou is pretty much all about the cheap but nice food. that wasnt of much interest to me. neither were the dirty streets and markets. but managed to take it all in.
dropped out stuff off in our rooms... mmm... king size bed. the room had a really nice view of the pearl river. and we took the metro to Jusco for some shopping.
at night the river lit up with this pretty spectacular lightshow. =)

it all started on the 28th. i was on the morning flight to hk sitting in business. was kinda lucky to get a spot cause it was standby and the flight was pretty much full beforehand. anyhow, i had my fair share of drinks. =P well, they literally bring u the drinks.. had champers when i first got on, merlot with lunch and baileys afterwards.. yummy. the food was okay.. considering. they had a self serve mini bar which was pretty coo. the movies on offer weren't that great. i watched little miss sunshine and then sort of flicked through some other movies but compared to the entertainment on the way home, it was great. had a little nap before i got off. and since we had priority getting off first, it didnt take long to get through customs so unusually, i ended up waiting for my luggage. went through arrivals and theres everyone waiting for me.. ahh.. im so special. and it was hot!! so much for cold weather!
anyhow, we went to have shanghaiese for dinner.. i didnt eat much.. felt mildly jetlagged. sort of called in an early night cause we were due to travel to guangzhou at 5 the next morning.
and they had so many pink chrstimas decorations in the shopping centre!!!

if u want cheap clothing, nows ur chance. an hour into markdown and we were all already delirious. kinda funny. and it was reaslly nice to know i was missed =). i walkd into the tea room and all the girls are like screaming 'wynnie!! ur back!!' hahaha felt so loved =D
i have been extremely lazy since getting back.
and i missed the country road sale. no matter. it wouldnt have been that great anyway.

i drop by work to check my roster.. and i look at it and it says 8th 5-9 and im like.. hm ok, i guess i'll go back to work tomorrow. and walk out..
but... karen sees me.. and she tells sara and sara sms's me going.. r u in here. (thinking i was still in hk) and well oviously i had to make my presence known. so sara's like.. so u can work tonight yeah? and im like.. wtf.. im not rostered on. and shes like.. yeah u r.. todays the 8th. and im like.. oh shit. it is too. -__-
its not jetlag either. i had a pretty good flight. but im not in the mood to recount my trip just yet.
