I didn't apply for that cafe job. Does not look fun at all. Case closed and I have closure. Brunch meant something today...

Oh and also to see the beautiful Joyce and lovely Donna of course. They legit-ly asked why I chose this brunch place when I couldn't eat anything. Ha ha but it was also the pleasure of their company. Decaf Soy Lattes are just not the same. No buzz and an interesting taste. I had the quinoa salad with avocado, spinach and tomato. Pretty tasty for veg.

The girls had like 3 dishes between them... hahaha. No comment. Piggys :P But it did look good. Pancakes, bacon, pork and mushrooms, sourdough, poached eggs...

Arvo.. spent a wee bit of time in the garden with Mum and some time out the front in the garage with dad checking out the newest family car. Its a Hybrid Camry. I think i still love the Honda more. It goes faster. hehehe.

Was supposed to go IKEA but might have to wait till next weekend. There's just nothing like spending some time at home especially because today is Dad's day.

Happy Father Day to the best dad ever - I was actually thinking of all the things that I am incapable (or at least requires so much more effort) of doing without you: fixing the car, building furniture, opening jars, keeping me in line, all the things that I get away with that Wendie would never, critiquing my cakes, making a decent homemade coffee, buying wine, fixing our leaking shower/toilet/taps, getting my butter out for me when I am still at work so i can bake in the evening, building me a computer, fixing my computer, anything electrical related for that matter, making my friends coffee, picking me up from the station, buying a plane ticket..... i think the list is endless.

We may not be the first family but I wouldn't have it any other way. Future hubby out there... you have massive shoes to fill!

Read this article that was on all medias this morning about a guy and a girl who were kidnapped in Somalia and held captive for 15 months. I couldn't help but this how stupid, naive and unprepared they were to think that they could become 'famous' by seeking new stories from one of the most dangerous places in the world. But hey... YOLO??!! Not my kind of adventure... although I would love to read their memoirs.

Last weekend of August and winter and HELLO SPRINGTIME!

I spent Saturday in the west. Not like inner-west but the west-west. Even drove past the new Wet n Wild theme park being built. All the way to Blacktown. It's pretty far! Especially with the traffic through Homebush. :-( So I told the guys that they'd used up their/my Blacktown quota for the year. HAHAHAHAHA. But i feel touched that they wanted to come back all the way to Bevo to have dinner. That new Japanese BBQ Manmaruya restaurant... shit. Expensive and expensive.

Pancakes on the Rocks? FREAKING AWESOME!! Did not have to wait long at all despite the line outside.

Then we were tossing up between movie and drinks. Drinks at the one and only Bevo hotel. LoL. Drinks won only because Prince Chris had to go home to pack for his HK trip in the morning. And we couldn't agree on a movie. So watched them play some pool and chatted a bit.

Sunday was family day with Dad at IKEA. Okay, so I wanted to go to IKEA to get new draws for my wardrobe. But me and my awesome measuring skills (or lack thereof) meant that the draws don't fit front ways. FAIL. So they're in sideways which is a bit of a bitch to get stuff but it beats the old draws that use to always fall on my feet. And these have wheels which is pretty cool. So spent a good few hours spring cleaning my wardrobe. YAY. But still have the same amount of stuff in there...

Also bought Dad a tabletop for Father's Day. WHOOHOO cheapest Father's Day Gift ever!!!

did some of my favourite things today :)

baked a (pretty fail) cheesecake.

prepared for a bbq (that i didnt get to participate in)

went to joyce's for some boardgames fun and supposed lunch. but they were eating strawberries and pizza so i couldn't have any. i did have an earl grey though - with lemon.  the games were pretty good. even when joyce was on my team =P

and then came home and played kitchen queen with janice and dons. that basically meant offering all the leftovers from the bbq to them. hahahahaha it was good too.

lovely day. would love more of these in the future :)

had a PARTY at work today. LOLs.

maree bought these sesame rolls that were sooo good and she was like.. i bought too many, here girls, take one each. HAHAHAHAHA. yay!! breakfast! i knew i walked to work for a reason. apparently i looked really dead after last night.

and then martin and luke were both working this morning and they bought a box of chocolate cookies. so we were just eating at sound.

and then LOL. i think they ended up getting busted for this.. safety. martins cardboard cage was getting full. and luke and him were gonna jump on it.. like climb onto it and squash it.. and clads was like.. no i wanna do it!! and shes like short short so it was like.. haha LOL. she was only as tall as the boys after she was on top of all the cardboard. and she was jumping on it when david (manager) walked past. and hes like.. wtf r u guys doing? LOL... shiat..

other than that was pretty quiet.

did i mention there's a rat in the house.
