i was just comparing my melbourne invoice to the gold coast one. proportionally, its so much cheaper. and i think i had so much more fun.

so i couldn't help but make the assumption. that one was high roller. where it all had to be luxury and money meant "better". and the other was raw cheapass-ish fun - explore. see. relax.

the accomodation was 2 star budget vs 2 bedroom apartment with views.

now i wonder what japan will be like. a combination i hope.. the best of both perhaps.

of course, the crowd was totally totally TOTALLLY different (one for each person...) which may have made an overall bigger difference.
