and i WON!
what a bizarre but fulfilling day it was.
i had breakfast with someone i hadn't talked to in 3 years at a new local cafe that was pretty good. pretty yummy smoked salmon, mushroom and ricotta omelette. coffee was so-so but at least it was hot enough! talked about a lot of old times and all the things in between.
then, i decided to go via westfield to pick a fight. turns out i was too eager, so i went home to do it over the phone.
and after a 40 minute wait - didn't really mind being on hold for so long - but it just fuelled my enthusiasm to get what i wanted, i was put through to someone who could help me.
*brings in my negotiation skills*
so was talking to the lady about upgrading my handset... and i went from staying on my old cap with a $20 per month handset payment (this is apparently the only thing they can offer for current customers in forms of a loyalty discount - i.e., can only upgrade you with a discount on your current cap) to:
~ no cancellation fee
~ $50 bonus credit (up from $25) on your next bill
~ upgrade to the new $49 cap for the iphone 4
~ delivery fee for the new phone waived.
~ phone to be deilvered within 3 weeks
quite satisfied with that! and wasn't too hard to negotiate.
and this arvo, spent outdoors with my dogs and our lawn. oh who knew you could fee so content cutting grass.
happy anniversary too. :)

despite it raining on us, we cleaned out the shed/ workshop/ sunroom, etc and moved the outside fish tank undercover so it doesn't have to be cleaned so often.
we had to tie nessie up cause she was wreaking havoc everywhere. lol but she didn't cry or whine. just.. sat there, or slept.
valerie and her 2 boys dropped off her ill computer some time during the day.
can't believe uni starts tomorrow.

nessie and scout had a great day. chasing each other around the backyard after we cut the grass. and after nessie got over her fear of what a lawnmower is. hahaha.
feels really good to stay at home on a sunday. very familyish. and was in the yard most of the day. cleaning. playing. rolling around in the grass.
i have never sat on the grass at this house. ever. because of the dog/s. but it felt so good to do it today. =D
and nessie and scout had a bit of a tussle. ones a sheepdog, the other cattle. its cute and funny. they have nothing to herd.
met the triplet neighbours. just a year older than ari. cute. =)

the morning was a bit of a frenzy. we actually had a group of people waiting for us to open... and it was busy from the word go. i was on the registers for more than like 5 minutes. hahahaha. thats saying something cause normally an extra operator can cut the queues down in no time.. but nope, not today.
managed to get my three nursery cages done which was a relief.
what i really wanted was to be at the beach. i had to settle for my overgrown and unattended garden.. with scout. it felt so nice just sitting on the porch in a sundress this arvo.
had a bit of a vent and rant at donna. thanks for being my ears. its appreciated. no matter how unjust i probably sounded.
