enjoyed my wine tasting immensely. =D and dad was pleased with my selection of wines albeit he reckons that they were "pricey". lol. definetly pleased with my WYNdham choices. which sort of makes brokenwood look overpriced.
balanced it out with david hooks and rosemount.
the drive up felt short cause we stopped at the twin caltex stations/ maccas. and then proceeded to visit wineries along the way. so we stopped at the botton of HV and worked our way around to broke.
mt pleasant - rosemount/lindemanns - brokenwood - McGuigans - TT - Broke.
Broke is such a hole. Population: 400.
Our house was quite amazing. awesome fireplace. nice and cosy but mattresses were too soft. we were in whoop whoop. lived opposite a farm. there wasn't even a strip of shops.. there was like.. one shop. it mightve doubled as a petrol station as well. and it was a 20 to 30 minute drive back to HV central/ pokolbin. thoroughly enjoyable.
played tennis at these semi run-down courts. which was again, randomly in the middle of no where. not what i really expected. it took almost 90 minutes to get to a rally of 5 shots. LOLOL. yeah.
went to a cafe. bought some more wine. had a cranium showdown. hahaha.
and oh LOLOL
no prizes of who came up with that one.
got up super early today to make scones. that turned out goooood. and then we went to wyndham. it was awesome. i loved the vineyard and the winery. and it was worth the trek up cause it's considerably further than the other wineries.
this is where i got my prized stash of wines (that were imo, the best ones i got on this trip). and dad agreeed. =D
tried like.. 5? 6? wines? v nice. and it was fun taking candid pictures and jumping off logs outside too. everyone else probably thought we were retarded.
then we went to the HV gardens. more photos. storybook garden was cool. stopped by the village so donna could buy some peanut butter reeses m&m wannabes.
i still don't think i quite understand what the awesomeness about it is.
then hit this irish pub for some pub grub. which turned out to be not that pubby. and then stepped on the accelerator home.. and saw all these other cars get booked by highway patrol.
hunter valley: beautiful, fresh air, scenic, wines, tranquil, country, AWESOME.
