i took today off from work (which was a fantastic idea so i hear from jananice because of the stuff that happened) with the goal of finding a dress to wear to a wedding.
we went to bankstown via my grandmas place.
it was a big culture shock. woke me up a little bit.
why?
driving is just.. not normal.
PARKING in insane. i don't think the people there grasp the meaning of the words "no parking", "no stopping" and "clearway"
they have no road rules.. its like melee on the roundabouts.
and the styles (clothing-wise) it rather tacky. like.. as small and boring hurstville can be, at least we have class...
verdict: i will not be taking saturday off deliberately in the near future. and i definetely won't be shopping in btown for a long time to come.
