... and i finally got the time and decided to sit on my lazy ass and type about it.

so friday night, i give val a call and i said i'd pick her up about a quarter to 9 so that we got there fairly early but not too late so that it was so busy already. and she said, oh i can go earlier you know. how about you come at 8:15. lol. yeah ok.

we didn't get on a bus until about 9:50 in the end anyway because as usual, sydney transport is never on time. and since no one (except smart and organised people like myself) prepaid for their ticket, it took even longer while the bus driver tried to work out how much it was and how much change to give inapt people who could not even do simple mathematics (more on that later).

so obviously, val and i get to the show quite the early. and we stop by the atm and then make a beeline for the freshfood dome. COFFEE PLEASE!

$3.50 coffees from some organic stand. the lady was quite the still asleep and lost. i asked for a capp and got a latte. but i drink both so it didn't bother me. we turn the corner and this other shop is doing coffee for $2. EPIC FAIL. lol but they had sausage tasting plates so we got one of them. YUMMO. esp that honey flavoured one.

and we walk around the freshfood hall seeing what else was available. waffles caught our eye but we never ended up having time for them. the edible-looking soap attracted val's eye and we were roped into testing flavoured teas.

not long after, D arrives. and V is like. no i want oysters, like now! so we get a half dozen to road test. another wYnner. so good. in fact, they were so good that we decided that we needed to get some white wine to wash it down with. unwilling to pay $30 for a bottle of Tyrell's, Val leads the way and takes us to the HV Wine Society stand. where we could taste Tyrells and other whites for free provided that you strike up a conversation and pretend you know all this sht about wine and imply that the hunter wines are not good enough for you and therefore, no you would not like to commit to a dozen bottles of wine with free membership per quarter. sorry ken doll.

we had a look at crocs whilst we waited for the fruit (late as per usual might i add). then we did the first half of the animal walk. a first for them. we stopped after getting corn cobs and german hot dogs and went to the main arena for robosaurus and extreme sports. those yamaha fmx riders... O_O wow.

we wanted to go watch the pig racing but it was full by the time we got to the stand. so we got more food - cheese on a stick, pluto pups, jumbo lemonade, prawns, more oysters, ribs...

saw some more animals - cats, horses and dogs. BABY SCOUT WAS SOOOOO CUTE i could not stop gushing about him.

then we did some rides. hahahahhaa epic. pirates revenge was awesome. sky flyer got a bit boring. and well, extreme speed... yes, i was quite distressed in the queue . but it was fantastic. can't say that i would want to do it again. and coming down face first is quite traumatic but im so glad i did. even if the photo of me looks like im shitting myself.

and of course, we had to pay the premium for the not so good quality photo to prove it all.

val and i also blew $10 each on this stupid basketball game. and the guy wasn't even that nice. grr im glad i stopped after $10.

and we did dodgem cars as well. fun fun fun. especially ramming into the other two =D

so disappointed in the show bag pavillion as well. cleo AND madison were sold out...

so i got a couple of crap magazine bags and my ovalteenies

we finally got to watch the pig race (i thought the fruit would have cried if we missed it the third time). hahaha. pretty awesome. so adorably cute in a way.

wasted some more money on light sabers.

ate some more. waffles with fresh cream, more corn and my twisted chips and iced coffee. yay! i wasn't dreaming those fries up!!! but i wouldn't get them again, theyre not that special. and not that crispy either. more of a novelty.

we had to stand to watch the fireworks cause it was so packed. got to see the fmx riders again. and boring robosaurus. fireworks were pretty good though. longer than anticipated.

then it was pretty much home time. long, eventful, slightly tiring but pretty awesome day. got a little bit sunburnt. and didn't spend as much as i would have thought. =D

loved watching val "squirm" - exaggeration there.
donna wasted money on "new moon" popcorn combo.
and val on ultimate indulgence chocolate dipped strawberries
movie started late.
fangirls screamed during the trailers
the ending - the last two words of the movie in particular - was AWESOME
but predictable.
sleeping at 3 am is tiring.
we also mahjonged. k-ed. cooked. shopped. coffee-ed. marked papers.

aspire bbq. where i got an 'outstanding' award. which was like... unexpected. and a boookshop voucher. and a free pen. hhahaha. it was good to see some familiar faces. and first time back at uni since last sem.

i also stood in line for 40 minutes to get my student card. but at least now i don't have to worry about getting it. i also picked up my FREE student diary. poor valerie decided to pay $150 for hers.

then we went to town hall TGV gloria jeans to meet up with the other jin two.

we went in search of the infamous, or at least, well-known 32 cm cone. it was pretty big. so glad we were sharing. but like, if one was hungry, it wouldn't be a hardship trying to finish it.

we then proceeded to oxford street. now, use your brains, why would we randomly go to oxford street?

thats right, we don't randomly go to oxford st so obviously we had a mission. which was accomplished.

after that, we just went to cafe cya for drinks and korean food. and sat there for about 2 and half hours. where we go a lot of meeting and talking done. i feel like we'd accomplished so much planning. felt reallll good. =D

the after was more exciting. haha monopoly world edition!!! i came 2nd. in a long game that made us stay up until 5 am. donna tried to bankrupt herself. it took about 3 hours. LOL. and cherry kept landing on the free parking and getting millions.

the party itself was low-key. not that many people as was expected. we sat in a corner on the other side of all the other people. lol and my target frends joined us. hahaha that was uh.. anti-social of us. but we didnt know any of the other people. jan came after as well. was really tired from work tat i think i looked drunk. but i wasn't.

and the tequila shot was s-h-i-a-t. it didn't even burn. didn't feel very alcoholic.

and cherry picking us up to go to my place was the closest we have ever come to a road trip. and since it was night and raining, it was more fun. and dangerous.

came home. and mum must've thought we were all smashed. cause donna was so high. and having problems eating. and we were all giggling like crazy.

and this morning, i got them all up at 9:30 and played mahjong. hahaha and we were all slow. and unresponsive. but i loved it. wish we could do this more often la.

took nessie to get her stiches out today as well. she was a bit scared but it was a 2 second job. so it was fine. =)

so we were very neatly not on time, but not exactly late either. like, the timing was just all right. even though i left a little bit late and getting petrol took half an hour. and the drive to dfo was a little bit slow. we got there about 5-10 minutes after donna and met her at the entrance just as she'd walked once around the outlet already.

the strangest things happened today:

1. valerie (who said that she was there to "carry the bags") went on a spending spree. puma, jag, esprit. I ended up carrying the bags because i didnt buy anything. well donna too. actually, donna more cause she was hogging them eventhough she had a couple of bags of her own. hahaha.

2. we went downstairs to the basement level to check out (really randomly) the books.

Valerie, after talking about how her brother (who is shit at everything except english) will probably get a higher mark than her for english and how he wants to do aviation and that requires an interview:

"what are metallic pencils?"
"uh, pencils that are metallic - you know, shiny?"
"oh."
"... no wonder ur brother is gonna beat u at english. LOL"

3. perfect timing getting to our cars. i let donna get out first. =D

and so im following her through the car park. and its multi levelled. and LOL. me and val are obviously watching her and she goes right over the kerb on a turn. and we're just cracking up. it was so funny. i know why she says she feels pressure. im not even in HER car. hahaha

i needed to follow donna to get to burwood. big mistake.
she cut all the way right... and then really quickly cut back all the way left. i saw her coming. but the car behind me almost didnt. and i got beeped. that was the first thing. and the second thing was shes a shit leader!! she went "ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOmmmmm" and disappeared on me zigzaggin through all these trucks! luckily i know my direction from there onwards. -_-

4. grocery shopping. val and i went to woolies to buy lunch and dinner. on a whim, valerie decides to walk into adjacent liquorland and buy a AVL wine. tempus two. 2006 cabernet merlot. it was very smooth. very good. if you dont do accounting, you wont understand. lol. we had salad for lunch and pasta bake for dinner. yummy. obviously, i cooked. the wine was superduper complementary with my brownies.

5. we watched pride and prejudice the new version. and laughed through most of it. and we played mahjong. talked about a lot of things. varying topics. watched minority report. if mark wahlberg replaced tom cruise, it wouldve made a very very good movie.

6. i had to pick up my sister sometime between dinner and minority report at stratty. that wasnt very hard. lol.

7. my sister fits in with us quite well. cause valerie is able to learn so much about her brother from her. and lol, valerie tells my sister all this stuff that she doesnt want her students to know. HAHAHA.
