fuchsia fragments

Leads to sleep deprivation but its the only time of the year that you have to soldier on. So many lives and people to make happy. And it's the silly season, the one period where you can bake till your heart's content and them some.

Today was more christmas baking and very fortunate to have had the help of one D. Li. Even if her piping does needs work ;)

But awesome teamwork - pumped out all my fondant sugar cookies in a couple of hours which saves me heaps of time. Oh and also made her white chocolate cheesecake with lemon mousse and scorched meringue. it smelt so good. I'm also such a good friend because i baked her a baby sized to take home. that's more than love. <3 p="">
Built my city of gingerbread houses. 11 buildings in total. Mega awesome, so proud. And would love to see the look on their faces when they demolish it!

Another day in the kitchen tomorrow. it's made me realise something though; I feel a little detached from the real world and in my own world. so when i crawl back to my room and to my gadgets, i feel like facebook helps me reconnect. its like the social column of the SMH. oh no... am i becoming dependant??

i love my kitchen. and my utensils. and my oven <3

made my first cake that i was paid for. first there was nervousness, then came excitement, relief and finally joy and contentment!!! it turned out so well. i was so happy and thankful of the opportunity and the recipient was so happy with the cake. wYn-wYn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was a bit of a trek (in this case, drive) to east lindfield though. nice area but not my style at all. too hilly (the roads were literally rollecoastery with all the ups and downs), very leafy and a little too quiet and inconvenient i think. plus everything is more expensive there. we were comparing petrol prices... and its even further that D's place!

also made salted caramel macarons and sesame street cupcakes. both turned out well. in all, a successful weekend of baking.

although i did break my blow torch. . . :-( but hey, great excuse for a new one!!

and the way to start is to wake up at 7!!!!! a whopping two hours of sleep in. FANTASTIC.

freezing too.

play with the doggies, retrieve a few fresh eggs.

and then... spend a few hours at the hairdresser. and a few hours in retail therapy even when its not for oneself. and a few more wine tasting.

and thennn you come home and bake bake bake. mm mmm mmmmmmmmmmm.

so much mess. but so worth it.

yummy yummy baileys cheesecake. so rich and.. yummy? hahaha yes i know, im being up myself. but hey - i think its justified (this time anyway)...

i got so bored with closing this arvo i relayed not one but two walls. both girls. looks soo much better.

new store manager was a bit intimidating.

"have i met you yet?"

and then straight after:

"wheres ur name badge?!"

*sigh*

the simpson's move is really good. some very good humour in it =) ahhaha and it was so funny cause [dont read if u havent watched it] bart was writing 'i will not illegally download this movie' and guess where i was watching it? *wink*
anyhow, i went to work today and i swear half of them there was like.. where have u been? how come u havent been working? i though u quit? HAHAHA im glad i was missed.. it feels good i guess to be back. usually. turns out 3 of our managers are either on leave or been transferred temp to another store. nadia and jess quit today and we have these new ppl working (i still don't know them). still sticking with the same bunch. make me wonder whether i should be quitting or not.. hm.
so i mulled over it in the kitchen. i made a sesame cheesecake (my own variations) so i think it turned out okay if i may say so myself and some pastry thing that looks like a volcano. lol tat wat dad said but they taste good so what the heck.
oh yes and i cleaned the fish tank outside (and in case u dont know, that ones about 100 times worse than the one i had to clean inside) the water was black and it smelt and it was cold and there were THREE forgotten, rotten fish in there. absolutely disgusting. dad was suppposed to do it but no.. so i did it. gonna put plants and guppies in it sort of like a breeding tank for them both =)

i had the kitchen to myself today so i made the most of it =D
