there is a reason for it.
because there are too many "cooked people" in my locality. as soon as i venture out, i am bound to bump into someone. whether from work. from uni. or from the past. its something i tend to avoid.
but its unavoidable sometimes. even a random monday night dinner at miss saigon. or a 15 minute run around westfield. its strange how life works sometimes.
i received a rather unexpected phone call today. from my credit union.
fraud? i understand how it works and how it comes about. but i dont understand how it affects my card. because i can't for the life of me recall when i used that particular card ever at an ATM. but better safe than sorry.
and i read My Sister's Keeper today. it reminded me a lot of Pink Balloons which was a true story. However, i don't feel that all the characters were worthy in the story - especially not the mother. the decisions that she made - for "both" her daughters; i don't believe they were made with their best interests at heart. it wasn't as heart wrenching as i thought it would be - i only teared up in the final two pages.
and haha (i can't believe i'm about to say this), but considering it was the first proper book since Breaking Dawn it was a pretty good read. at least it got me thinking. i actually have a friend with leukemia. and all the what ifs.
i even brought about a discussion at the dinner table. where we all agreed that we would never put a child through that kind of pain. either child because its not fair and its as though you were playing God. Who gave you - anyone - that right? although, nowadays, you don't need a matched sibling to donate blood and bone marrow.
