Byebye warmer than normal winter. And hello to another year for me!
I celebrated with dinner, more dinner, drinks, more drinks, degustation and AROMA!
It was fun but crowded. But had some really good churros (see below), took MY FIRST EVER SUCCESSFUL SELFIE and had some yummy yummy churros! As well as sweet potato chips and chunky dunk cookies and then finally Ippudo.
Funniest story ever - anita (donna's coz) was there with her friend. And by coincidence, justin and carmen were there too... and they were there before us. and they were literally sitting opposite each other. HAHAHAHAHA. gold, especially when donna randomly hugs anita which i think surprised justin and carmen for a second. good thing that the line wasn't that long. a bit pricey but ramen's pretty good. I got the tofu hot pot today. was a little spicy but really nice. and all the better that it's carb-free.
i also tried out the italian meringue recipe for macarons. they worked really well in the oven! but the shells were really crispy and i'm not sure if its supposed to be like that or not... i know that they soften up in the fridge over 24-48 hours but never have had shells that hard before! will have to keep trying. and testing. which means more samples...
Another super fast weekend over. What's happening to time??
