so last night, nick's like 'im going to be in late tomorrow, probably half 8' and im like 'okay then' - don't think to much more of it.

worst morning to get sick ever.

so he decides to rock up at his usual time (him living closer to work means him getting in earlier to work even though we both probably leave our respective places at the same time). well at least i think it was normal time. he had already printed off my bank statements for me so he must've been in.

anyway, so i left house a little late pretty much because i woke up feeling really cold and had this massive headache that two panadol solubles couldn't cure. so i didn't get in to about quarter past 8 which is about 20 mins later than usual.

and lol.. we must have literally just missed each other. cause he had to meet someone at quarter past and thats when i go in.

so he gets back to the office at quarter to 9-ish and was like...

'i see how it is. i tell you that i'm going to be in late so you just decide to rock up whenever.'

lol. damn it. i even had a perfectly good reason but it just looked so suss!!! but he knows the truth. i would never do that. haha.

bit of a funny joke for us this morning. and the fact that i had to go get my own coffee!!! (i avoid like the plague because the guys at the coffee place downstairs are super creepy - they know my name even though i have never told them who i was and they know my order even though i rarely go downstairs to get it myself...)

and poh (who is our very very very nice finance contractor helping us with our system implementation and budget stuff) took us (i.e., finance) out to lunch. because i made her awesome sesame st cupcakes and macarons and because well, nick gave her a job (kind of a long story but basically she use to be nick's boss at the old job, something happened at that work, they all left and now she's looking for a new job so this is a transition phase for her).

we went to ma-su-ya. yum yum yum. best lunch ever. and i love being able to not think about work and just relax a bit. funnily enough, i have never felt that i could confide in a manager as much as i can with these two :) :) feels good. and it feels good to be understood. and appreciated. oh and nick wants 20% shares in my new business in exchange for doing my tax returns, etc. LOL!!!!!! i said i'd think about it...... if he does my business plan also =D

oh and most exciting part of the day?... val finally emails me back after 2 weeks!!! made my afternoon :)
