fuchsia fragments

spent the weekend in the hills after shopping in the city. pretty up there shopping. at least we pretended. haha.

i went out a bit earlier than the rest of them cause had to go by paddys to see if they had these roadsign doobies. which they did..

then i trekked in up to QVB and Esprit (i had this gut feeling in the morning that i j ust had to go visit...) and they were having a 30% off thing so i got a knit for winter and a black cardigan for work and got to rejoin the club. =D

then went to myer to meet up with don on the basement level which is like really level 4. and they had their 2 day sale and i attempted to find 5 items. but i ended up giving up. too many people and not good enough quality. so by the time val came, we just sort of went, blah and went to DJ cause someone wanted expensive makeup and to look at burburry bags. lol.

ended up getting the make up at the hills one anyway.

cherry picked us up from martin place near the spokey cba rails. and it took a while to get to the hills. so we went straight to the shops.

where i got nothing. and valerie spent almost $200 on lancome make up. plus a top from dotti. and donna got a dress from dotti. and i browsed nine west. thinking about investing in some good leather quality shoes.

then went home where we proceeded to watch LOTR. at least they tried to. i wasnt all that into it. too much blood and swords and loud noises for my poor little headache.

dinner was shephard's pie in a very deep dish and avocado and smoked salmon salad. all washed down with apple cider, ginger beer and white wine. awesome.

slept on the floor and i think donna and i tried to kill each other through the night (so we were told...). hahaha.

this morning, she kindly drove us home via brunch at the good kitchen. so by the time i got home it was like 11.

and me and mum went to miranda in the arvo. another bitterly disappointing trip. *sigh* almost killed the car in the process. i think we need a new car (isn't it funny how life works. you sell one and the other one dies. its like it misses its companion and wants to wither and wilt away). anyway, it just overheated cause it was thirsty and the air con wasnt working. and i was like WTF. cause dads an ass and keeps saying theres nothing wrong and mum and i are like.

HAVE U HEARD HOW NOISY THE CAR IS LATELY.
AND HOW IT DOESNT START SOMETIMES.
AND HOW THE AIR CON DOESNT SEEM TO WORK SO WELL.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. he frustrates me. like.. do u want me to be stuck in the middle of whoop whoop one day and be like. wtf should i do now? why risk it. i dont understand.

so eggin tired. i did a shitload of ironing tonight and it was only half. and i have like so many things to do that i havent done. and it shits me.

coffee can be ur saviour - especially when its freezing in the office. so ducked down to lindt cafe to pick up a coffee n choccie. mmm.

seems like there a bug going around work too. falling one by one. felt a bit under the weather today initially.

*needs more work clothes*

dove into the deep end today. we are a full team for the first time in 8 months (or so they have told me). its very different when u have people working all around you as opposed to just one or two. you can really feel the difference.

today must have been my lucky day with quotes. dealers were v quick in responding which meant i didnt have to chase them up and waste time. put through a whole heapppp of orders (thats good too cause it means we're getting $$$!) and managed to clear my emails annnnnnnddd do a whole bunch of compliance modules.

i thought my day was going pretty well. until my head started pounding and i made it worse by going out in the sun for a good half hour during my lunch break.. walked to circular quay and back. dumb.

i blame donna who dogged me for her supervisor who brings his dog to work. I HOPE HE WAS WORTH IT.

i come home and no one picks up the home or their mobile so i was getting ready to slooowllly trek it home when dad calls back and hes like.. whyd u hang up so fast? and im like...

... dude, it went to like voicemail.

anyway, turns out scout (allegedly but i'm willing to put money on this) somehow murdered one of my chickens. A BIG ONE TOO. so no doubt i was super angry and frustrated and irritated.

its not even about the poor chickies life. its about all the time and love and care that i put into raising these babies. i feed them everyday. i let them come out and play. i make sure they're warm at night. i make sure they have water. i make sure they have fresh bedding.

and POW.

she's dead. all cause scout (and nessie to a degree) can't be gentle around animals smaller than they are.

dad was even able to put an approx time to it cause he fed them around 4 and she was dead by 5:30.

sad.

so i tried to take it out at the gym. i swear those people were lucky that the body combat class is non-contact. although, i didn't have the energy to really work it today. just half assed attempt. everytime i threw a punch harder, i felt like my head was going to explode.

they bought so much stuff home that i thought christmas had come early.

it didn't.

what a let down. i didn't even get everything i asked for. no clothes whatsoever. no food. but a load of crap. and my mouse pad. and hair clips. and a couple of red pockets.

i spent a lot of my afternoon outside with my chickies today. watched them run around being chased by scout. haha it was cute but they probably didn't think so.

we had a big family dinner at bevo tonight. and well, i can't recall the last time we had a big family dinner at bevo. in fact, i can barely remember the last time i went to bevo for dinner with ppl other than going to one of the three regular cafe haunts we hang around. feels like i was on the other side of the er 'cultural' fence for lack of better word.

the restaurant is probably one of the newer ones of the strip. rather small, uncomfy seats, small upstairs area (where we practically took up the whole space - lol - there was a couple of were going to sit on one of the side tables but i think we were too loud and rowdy so they went back downstairs..). the food was below average. salty. fried rice was totes fail. the fruit and dessert were good though.

apparently we were connected in some way with them. i dont know through who or how exactly...

im feeling heaps full and thirsty at the moment. and ohhh the feeling of walking on freshly mopped floorboards.

up and go for lunch.

jenny craig frozen dinner and one boiled egg for dinner.

again, swamped at work, all these quotes and orders are starting to give me the shits. like.. there has to be an easier way. again, lots of phone calls. *sigh*

doing all the washing, cleaning, taking our the garbage, feeding the monsters. so much housework!

i just want to sleep and watch OTH maybe and well, I WANT MY MUM!

started off like a typical working day. except that throughout the WHOLE day, we were flat out cause we were 3 people down. like.. what else is new in the workplace huh? seems to happen everywhere.

Anyway, was supposed to meet cousin around 1. I was on time, HE was not. we went to the belgian beer cafe and i literally had like 15 minutes to eat. i was like.. well, if you had come out earlier, this wouldn't be happening!!!

but man, half price mussels. a whole kg of them.. YUMMMMMMMMMMY! so that kind of made up for it.

get back to the office and we're swamped with phone calls, so much so that i felt like i was the receptionist for the afternoon. uh, no thanks.

Ended up leaving at about 5:25 which was a shit time cause had to wait for BOTH trains. (should've just walked to martin place and saved myself the grief).

so by the time i got back to hurstville, it was already 6 and poor val was already waiting at my door. i think i should mention here that i was missing everyone's call that day as well. i need a new phone.

but managed to get a hold of val and she came and picked me up from the library. yay!

was barely in the door 5 when D rocks up. and they proceed to order pizza. Premium Pizza So NOT worth the extra $2.95 + $2.95 or whatever it was. and those chicken doobies were like the BIGGEST rip off in the history of ordering pizza. it was a good thing we were smart enough to go pick it up.

and we also enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine with my awesome and expensive wine glasses.

and during this time, i also got the girls to sign my dad's birthday card because he is so loved.

then we proceeded to roll around in my, imo, not so clean, kitchen. we were like.. on the floor, eating fruit and brownies, icy poles, ice cream and popping vitamin c tablets. valerie spurted out a range of liquids. we drank green tea and coke zero and got high somehow. FUN FUN!

so buggered by the time they left that i just showered and dropped off.

what a good day it was~

me and dad went "grocery shopping" this morning. this is what we got:

- salad from coles
- cling wrap
- blue cheese
- magnums

then we just happened to go into myer cause i mentioned wine glasses were on sale
- 4 palace expensive red wine glasses
- with bonus set of 4 tumblers
- and a set of wine opening tools

and then we just seriously stumbled into Dan Murphy's
... and bought 3 dozen bottles of wine.

in the walk through each aisle, pick bottles at random way.

ROFL.

and we drank this awesome white wine for lunch. and will be going back to get another dozen. cleanskins you rock!
