been a week - not that much has changed / happened.
Monday - bring macarons to work and Nick tries (and successfully...) passes them off as though he bought them and out of the kindness of his heart, shared them with ops. I told Sarah on friday that wasn't the case... it took a while for that to sink in...... funny.
Winefest 2012 and thai! So the fams trekked it out to the Bavarian Beer Cafe in the evening for Wendeh's winefest... where they won! Congrats to them and lovely little evening hosted by people-to-be in the hospitality industry. was fun. but Monday winetastings? too early on in the week *sigh*
Not that much else happened during the week.
Usual ups and downs - i will never forget how fortunate i am to have Nick as a mentor and manager as opposed to the other one. She was a total bitch this week... poor junior and SD :( :( :( :( :( He's teaching me how to pick our battles. :) Lets all my jibes at him slide (and of course gives it back and then some...). i don't need to justify taking an extended lunch break if needed. I won't get told off for coming in at 8:30 on the dot - not late, just on time.
Finance (ie, me basically - lol) finally got their sht together and had everything filed. YAY!!! Our corner looks so good!!! and orderly... and we lock everything up. We are getting there... probs a little slower than expected... but we will get there!
So tired by Thursday... Jan's first day of work in the city. so excited for her!!! xxx
So spent about 10 mins before 8 in my lobby (she was way too early and i didn't want to go upstairs yet). she it literally 2 mins around the corner. woohoo!!! New lunch buddy!!!
and we did dinner and shopping on thursday night to celebrate :)
And Friday... just cruised. had an early one. nothing exciting. boo. although sare and i did head off to surry hills at lunch to check out a shoe sale. so random and such a waste of time. hahahaha!!
Went yum cha with the family yesterday... the quality has gone down at crown dragon. tsk tsk. wasn't overly impressed although the sago pudding was really good!
Today... just took nessie for a run until it started to rain a little too heavily. baked a pandan chiffon cake this morning - YUMMMMMM!
Hot pot tonight with godbro and cruising into the second last week of May... how fast time passes. twas bit of a cruisy week
