my - and the team's - first team meeting of the year. and WOW. BANG. SMACK. the claws come out.
the meeting went rather longer than i would have anticipated. and even then, we didn't quite get through the whole agenda.
there was a lot of tension between my Team Leader and one of the FMs which was quite ah - full on. like the silence but im glaring daggers and cursing you kind of way. and the comments were rather negative between them.
and then you hear things along the grapevine...
anyway. i'm beginning to get the in-jokes...

i missed you all last night. =(
it wasn't fun. and i hated walking through the rain from pavillion to the IVY only to be turned back. even though half of us managed to get in.
~ i don't like going out in the rain.
~ i feel awkward at how i'm expected just to be automatically chummy with people i dont know
~ i dislike the fact that they don't really plan anything.
~ and especially, when i want to leave and theyre like no no, stay stay.
its just no longer fun. why didn't i listen to my instincts and just stay home? or better yet, we could have had a girls night.

finally got my computer today... which turned out to be a nightmare in the beginning. kind of still is. user names and passwords not working. wrong servers. limited access. uninstalled programs. etc etc etc.
the joy.
had to call IT. and then couldnt submit a IT request. and annoyed us all. hahaha.
still working on getting some new programs and fixing up my email address. no idea when thats going to happen.
was a bit in freefall today. seemed like not many people had much time for me =( they just gave me a pile of work and expected me to do it. uhm.. no, not up to that stage yet ppl!

i finally got a computer albeit a temporary one. but with TWO screens! so it meant i had access to email, the portals and internet. of course, fb, gmail, etc are all blocked. i also got my employee number which is awesome.
funniest thing happened today. fire alarm goes off. and everyone thinks its a drill until theres an announcement over the PA.
LOL LOL. what a way to start aye. fire brigade were called. and haha, all the girls were changing into their thongs and getting ready to walk down 11 floors of stairs. hahaha. funny funny. luckily we didn't have to.
but good to know that they do have a system that works. that the fire wardens on our floor actually were prepared to do their job. and well, that its quite efficient. but imagine evacuating the WHOLE building...
we're moving and rearranging our desks tomorrow. exciting! i get to personalise my personal space. although i already started that today cause i got a cabinet and i was given free reign on the stationary. =D =D
