we went out for dinner to celebrate our grandma's 89th (i think) birthday in hurstville. and sarah and i were like.. where's the cake? (cause we both didnt have time and have been dubbed the 'official cake makers' HAHA). so we went to bakery king and bought two (not that nice) strawberry mousse cakes and a coconut tart for grandma (cause she doesnt eat cake). yay
and lols, and some of them were like keep the 'happy birthday' sign and then they were like who's birthday is it next and its mine. so justin remarks 'we're cheap chinese ppl so just reuse the candles and cake!' and they actually did. HAHAHA as in they put the stuff back on the cake and put it in front of me and took a photo. HAHAHAHAHA tat was so funny.
the food wasnt great .. one of our dishes was still raw and a lot of the things we wanted to order was 'sold out'. it was only 7:30!! not impressed.

in two days we covered so many kilometrs.. from tokyo bullet-train to new-osaka, express train to kansai airport, 9 hour flight to brisbane and finally on a plane back home. talk about a long journey. and it was a freezing six degress in brissy.
anyhow, at least we managed to beat the storms and typoons. we came close though. and im actually really glad to be home =)

we're going back to osaka in hopes we'll be able to make it on a flight (any flight) back to australia.

osaka is much more refreshing and inclined to our kind of city. tokyo has way too many ppl living a very fast lifestyle.

monkey bought a kimono today and she was trying it on. more like this guy put it on her with the sash and everything and HAHAHAHA she was loving every minute of it. enough said. although the guy was kind of ok looking. too short though =P
since im not on my computer, ive realised that my widgets arent in line.. again. so its cause of the widescreenness or lack thereof if u see weird uneven spaces on my blog. i shall try to rectify it when i return =)
anyhow, its kinda hot here as expected. quite a few showers which are really refreshing and all the food glorious food (so says everyone but me).
our flight was pretty crap. jetstar had a full load. quite a few interesting things highlighted the smallness of our world though:
- john paul college students were on our plane for an exchange program and the second day when we went to one of the attractions, we bumped into this guy who was on the plane and had a broken arm.
- we met up with our tour ppl today and dad recognised this other person who use to live with him 20 years or so ago in tuen mun, hk
- and guess who else was in our tour??? ex jolly-girl on st george. we were like.. omg wat r YOU doing here in japan? hahaha really cool anyhow, so michelline's with us for the tour too. cool eh? =D
