What another crazy week! Went out every night for drinks, dinner and meet ups.
Like awesome stalkers, we found out that one of our colleagues from Singapore was holidaying so we went to sushi and sake with him and his wife. And followed of course by drinks at the Brazilian bar. Then, a couple of late nights in the office so we had dinner before heading home... Indian food is popular in Japan also!? As is traditional Japanese food... both close to my apartment.. phew!
And Friday, met some familiar faces in Ginza for more sushi and randomness but of course (according to Sam), I am always late. And I was because my boss opened the bar - his bar - and was making cocktails... how could I say no? Plus I was the one asking and asking him to do Friday wine o'clock. It was so good! So I was late and I'm really grateful that the 4 ladies lined up for the sushi place. It was over an hour wait and I got there just as it was our turn to get it... so I was late... but also on time... There's just something about meeting up in a foreign city! We had a great night and went to donki which is open 24 hours for more shopping. I love that place... looks kind of dodge and cheap from the outside but totes awesome when you start browsing. Already have a list for my next visit with my parents...!
This past weekend I got to play host and have Ivy, Chau and Ivy's two kids stay close by and Chau with me. We went to Pokemon Centre, Asakusa, Kappasdashi and Shinjuku. Had tons of fun with them from going to a fishing restaurant, shopping, street food, temples, shabu shabu and so much more. It was so funny seeing them with all their luggage... wowsers, glad to see I'm not the only one shopping up a storm! The kids were so patient with their mum spending so much time browsing the shops... I am trying to remember if I was like that when I was younger?
So no doubt, it's been a tiring week but definitely a memorable one. Thank you for visiting me. I am gearing up for Golden Week and then a new "chapter" in the Fellowship with one new faces joining us from Singapore and another Australian contingent coming for a short visit. The visitors never stop coming...!
