rain rain.

lots of driving.

but lots of fun.

whale watching today was windy. but seeing whales and dolphins on a lil catamaran was pretty cool. so much better than the big boats!

had lunch on the marina and then went for a drive to newcastle which is only about an hour away and u have to cross the most amazing bridge. its light lit up on both sides and soo curvacious.

walked along the waterfront. so many things have changed in 18 years... ;) (nah duh)

i much prefer driving the roads of the hunter region. it might be that we're driving a lot after dark but i find it more difficult and very curvy. and the speed limits change a fair bit. not to mention the wet weather coming into the port.

we also passed a pretty bad accident the first night.

nice weekend to get away. would have been so much better without the rain.

still trying to spot the koala in the backyard!!!

life is so different here.

dont treat me like dirt please. you end up looking like a fool and your work doesn't get done. not to mention you become to laughing stock of everyone else.

so annoyed.

and think im coming on with something.

visited tarjayyyy a couple of times. lol i love it. even the new ppl get introduced to me... just like old times. love hearing their stories. and how they keep asking me to come back. ive already stated my conditions!!!

toy sale looks like its going well.

i think i sort of miss being on the other side.

which is the main reason i would go back..

did aboslutely, fan-spanking-nothing. except take nessie and scout out. and collected eggs from the chookhouse. and pay off my credit card. but not without racking up some more on it first. and some blue mountain researching.

slept in a little cause was a bit crook. but still got to work on time. and my desk wasn't trashed (YAY!.. no need to pick up confetti from the ground)

and our RM saunters over sometime around 9. wishes me and colleague a happy birthday... and

"happy 50th birthday girls!!!"

got wine, lindt voucher, bracelet, flowers and a crown!!! teeheehehehe. super duper awesome.

and got shouted lunch at the belgian beer cafe. hoegaarden and a pot of mussels. hilarious thing is, its belgian weekend and they had this game that was going around all the tables. 3 dice - 2 chances - you have to roll 4-2-1 combination.

and i did.

super awesome. we all cheered =D but it didnt make a difference since my lovely TL was paying. ;) better for her budget i suppose. hehehe.

yummy food. yummy beer. even with a bit of a sniffle it was still sooo good.

and funniest thing was, we turned into stalkers. lol. see him when we come out... see him when we go back.. see him at the station.. see him at the met centre... see hit at the gym... =D =D =D HILARIOUS.

cause we full played a prank on our TL about it too. we r so clever.

moving along, had cupcakes in the afternoon. more yummyness. i forgot to mention the cheezels we had for morning tea. and burger rings.

drinks at the establishment after work.

and dinner at small, cosy korean restaurant with my favouritist tarjay ppl and associates in the world. so awesome.. we ordered like. the whole menu. slow and pretty poor service. poor guy. we were hounding him and hounding him. lol. some pretty schnazzy food. and opened my bottle of sparkling i got today.

and they surprised me with a cake. nom nom nom.

and theeennnn we fronted vbar. walked in. and straight back out. lol. didn't even stop for one.

and went karaoke for like 3 hours. i think i may have lost my voice. SCREAMING at the top of our lungs. most awesomest songs too. (LOVE STORY, living on a prayer, eye of the tiger, my heard will go on, BAD ROMANCE...) lots and lots of cops around tonight. k-clubs are being targeted.

we even got to discuss the finer points of picking dates. fantastic. progress.

i loved how everything just fell into place. and that we all had such a goooooooooooooooooooooood time. haven't laughed so much in one night nor screamed so loudly nor enjoyed myself like i did. so excited for the next friday night!!! sans alcohol. who said u needed alcohol to have fun. come to think of it... our outings have been only mildly assisted by the concoctions.

is no news good news?

all the adults were over at 3rd uncles last night until about 3 am.

whilst we youngems were left at home. to wait for news.

call finally came through in the wee hours of the morning.

grandma had to stay overnight in emergency. so they disbanded to go home and try to get some shut eye.

by the time i was up, my parents had gone over to uncles again.

and grandma finally came home around 11ish. shaky, pale and wobblish but whole and in good health! =D

so we had a family dinner over there tonight. in good spirits. watching masterchef and the great-grandkids.

times like these to cherish~

friday. who doesnt love friday.

walking through the met centre in the morning and i don't know what ticked me off but i decided to go under the pass rather than up the escalators. GOOD GOINGG!. bumped into my TL and a couple of colleagues who were buying eggs benedict ( i have been told they are the BEST eggs benedict around) and coffee. and when i walked up to them, they all pointed outside. and i was like O_O its raining shitbuckets. and i had no umbrella. so it was the wisest move to walk underneath cause they had umbrellas. wYnner!!! epicly awesome when we all had shit to carry - coffee, breakfast, umbrella, bag, etc.. and trying to get as not wet as possible.

anyway, so much stuff to catch up and do cause we were having an early day for our "save the date" event.

the amazing race: the christmas edition

in the rain although the weather held up for the most part. good stuff. couldn't agree about the teams (they were pre-picked) but let's just say. i had the state manager on my team O_O there were both its advantages and disadvantages. and we had to wear santa hats for the duration of the race. embarassing.

anyway, so my team, cause we were *SO* enthusiastic, got to the first pit stop about 15 minutes AFTER the second last team. so we were like. oh shit, we're screwed. so we just did the race laissez-faire. cause like, there were 2 other teams that we REALLY into it. and full sprinting and taking it seriously (the prize was a half day off work).

anyway, so we get to each of the other check points in due time, managing to make up some time on the way. and LOLOL, we get to the last checkpoint and we were like, ok just tell us, we're last right? and the pit-stop-erer was like..

no actually, you guys are second.

COMEBACK OF THE RACE!!! so we full got into in then and got all fired up and we sprinted from the argyle stairs all the way back to out building courtyard.

we ended up coming second!!! wYwYnwYn!!!

epic awesome.

the highlights at the "awards ceremony"
~ the most enthusiastic teams ended up last collectively
~ we came in second after being the underdogs the whole race
~ the team who came first almost beat the pitstoppers to their designated locations cause they were so pumped
~ one team were so temperate not to come last, they caught a cab and paid the driver $10 to go down the road (approx 500m). LOLOLOL!!! HILARIOUS.
~ we had to sing jinglebells as an incentive for the managers to double the bar tab.

ended up across the road @ the est. for drinks. we were there for 5 hours + our $500 tab ended up being around $900. LOL. there were only like.. 12 of us. and it was $5 drinks. so that was a looooooooooooooooooot of drinks.

i can't remember how many i had after about 7.. but maccas was so bloody good inbetween. we need more of these events to build team morale.

today was supposed to be another epic day. grandmas birthday. planned this pretty big event at restaurant. relos from hong kong came.

and around 5, we get dreaded phone call. they had to call an ambulance cause she has a fever and she's feeling really cold and shaking.

they're still in emergency. but they say she'll be ok.

so yes, so quickly things can change. just waiting for news...
