im going to make this one really brief although im sure i could go on about it for ages. but when im ready, im sure i'll tell people on a need-to-know-basis.
basically, had a really rough day. all day.
so much so that i didnt go to my legt lecture eventho i know that i will fall behind.
and im saying right now that if things were any different, if things didnt happen as they did, i will never skip another legt lecture again.
and i believe that dreams and nightmares try to tell you something. i woke up cold, shaking and sweating.

rock up to work this morning. look at the time on our sign on clock.

*blinks*
me: 'why's the time 7:53 on the clock?'
girls: 'what? we got here an hour early? NO WAY!'
paul: 'yeah i dunno wats wrong with it'

then we figure out its the stupid daylight saving thing that was supposed to happen this weekend but its gonna happen next weekend.
hahahaha we all got freaked out for a second. was like..
"we all forgot at the same time??"

there is one kind of customer that i hate more than rude customers and that is one who patronizes me. its incredibly annoying, irritating and gets me really really worked up. and i will not even bother helping u. and freak me dead, she was rude about it in the sickening sarcastic way and that was just the cake topper. and it wasnt even my department. so i was like pretty bluntly. u wanna talk to a manager? okay, im gonna call my manager. bring it on bitch. and of course, i was right. geez i hate people who think that theyre above u and they "need" to speak to a manager cause im not good enough. managers are always on our side anyway suckers.

yes i switched off all my lights.. well, my sister made me. lol. she got really anal over it and we switched off all our lights (including the signs) at work too. which was like.. wow.. never done that before.
anyhow, day went by relatively quickly..
feel like i havent done much productively today. wish there were more hours in a day.
laura came to visit today.. that girl is raking the money in. and spending her big fat paychecks as they come. hahaha

quiet night. yay!! and visitors.. lots of them. yay!!!
soo good too see that we finally had a quiet night though we sort of did have a bit of a difficult customer. but not in the traditional, rude, kind of difficult. just difference difficult. hahahaha marwah and i had to pull this cot out in the dock.. and we had to move these giant tvs onto folded cages.. and lets just say it wasnt the safest thing. rofl. we got out alive!
anyhow, pip and nads came to visit. pips actually working on the weekend after like.. how many months. and nads practically knocked me over in giving me a hug =D =D havent seen her in ages.. been missing her friday night events.. hehe..
anyhow, they were conducting interviews for new people and i cant help but feel a little bit threatened. theyre younger which means they'll be cheaper. and there is this little rumour going around that theyre getting a bunch of new people.. hopefully they will all be crap workers.

yay to the morning shift. where a lot of people were late. and everyone was eating easter eggs for brekky. lol.
again, another busy but as expected public holiday. i was on a role and managed to do two full return trolleys before half past 10. then it was just cleaning cause the poor things were annihilated on saturday arvo. i just wish we'd get some good stuff in so i can make my walls pretty again.
we also had easter eggs all over the freaking store. it was like a late egg hunt inside target cause everyone who came into the store wanted their dibs on half price easter confec. and boy did they buy heaps.
went for a bit of a shop with my sister in the arvo. we werent hunting eggs - we were hunting for a goldfish bowl. i found one that i really like that was pretty expensive for the shitty quality. and one that was okay priced but defective. and pets paradise is more like pets prison. i feel sorry for all the animals there. and they like just massively rip u off. i cant understand why people would want to buy their animals from such a place. adopting one is so more humane.
so for some reason we ended up at the new coles up at the station. and it has my thumbs up! small but cosy. and they seemed to have a good range without the risk of never having the stock. all u had to do was look at the party crockery and freezers. hahaha
bought ari a bike for his birthday but he's too scared to go on it for some reason.

highlight of my day
it wasn't public holiday rates at work for five hours.
it wasn't coming home and making fresh celery, carrot and apple juice.
it wasn't having an arvo nap.
it wasn't dinner.
in fact, it was right after dinner.
god brother decided that it would be nice to puke all over me. which is exactly what he did. poor jersey. =( =( thank goodness i opted for that and not my knitted cardigan. it absolutely grossed all of us out and i was like screaming. and had to take a shower before id be sick myself.
so get myself all high and dry and he just loves me cause he wanted me to hold him while we youtubed bob the builder for him. and hes all happy again (after he had a bath too) so i was like. okay safe.
was i ever wrong wrong wrong.
this time, he thought it would be nice to pee on me. and im like... F*CK. he must love soiling my clothes. and had a bit more of an accident on the floor. thank goodness we dont have carpet.
so i have to have three showers today. ewwwww..
so grossed out.
so i was like. never having kids.
lol.

good friday means great traffic conditions. went to paddys@flemington with mum this morning for some uber fresh fruit and veg.
came home and watched movies all day. and mochi. it was so familyish today. makes me happy. like my sister was making the dough and i was making the filling and mum was measuring all da stuff. =D =D
and cant have good friday without the godbro making an appearance. and trying to kill my fish again.

softgoods was relatively and comparatively quiet. that was good for us.
but then we were called to promo. easter. eggs. chocolate. broken bunnies.
and we had to basically move all the easter stuff to one side to make way for whatever that needed making way for.
and so all us girls were called there. and
hahahahhahahaha for some reason, it was ridiculously hilarious and we could not stop laughing
and dave and edy and their boys were just looking at us. and we were like 'why do they get to just stand there and not help?'
ROFL and yeah. so many jokes
and basically paid out our store manager the whole time cause he was like.. okay, i want them moved to the middle shelf.
we did that.
he wasnt happy.
so we had to do it all over again and move it all to one shelf only. waste of time. waste of energy. we were tired and hot and sweaty. and so we just paid him out.
he was referred to as the 'kid'
ROFL. by a manager.
ahh.. good times. and they werent that stingy this year. we had hot cross buns and easter eggs. =)
clads and laura were trying to get me to go to YU & SOHO after. i was like.. i'd love to but im buggered.

the train is just full of familiar faces. evelyn caught the BJ with me this morning and i have to say i wasn't completely comfortable with that. steve was on the train too. haha that was funny. he's like.. where are you going? and im like 'uni' and then just said how ive never seen him at uni. but he's working full time so it's understandable.
i was only like 5-7 minutes late for my lecture!! cause the bus line was that much shorter i guess. first years still need to learn that they don't need to go to lectures.
except maybe accounting.
anyhow, today gave me a chance to catch up with my econ buddies from last semester which was really nice.
eventho grace left halfway through the lecture. rofl. didnt even last until the break. poor girl
and carl came to my tutorial. he's one of those very participative ones and throw in a already over-enthusiastic class, you can imagine how deep our discussion was today. im not saying that i dont like it. its just very different. quite enjoyable actually. cause the hour passes must more quickly (and no, that wasn't wat i was thinking of during the tute)
and the lecture was kind of empty today.. either people had to catch up on sleep from the first journal submission or 9am is too early a start. cannot believe we have the "mid semester break" now. utterly stupid.

spent all day reading these massively long articles (all of a sudden, readings got a lot heavier..) and writing a journal submission on it. it took all day. cause im slow like that
and haha its so ironic that we had a power trip and the net wasnt working for a bit cause the router was slow to reset itself. i was like.. oh sht.. need to login to upload journal.. =X

i go to uni earlier today and parking is still a nightmare. i only gained 5 minutes on last week which is pathetic considering i left 40 minutes earlier. long enough to sit on the library lawn for 5 minutes with donna n mandy and sam. hahaha

having connections when you go yum cha is always so good. you get so many freebies.. well, tea at least. although food choice today was rather.. different. i had dessert tofu and none of my regular dishes. so i didnt really eat that much. wasn't feel that great either and i didn't really know the people. so a combination of factors i think. and it was really early. we got there at like 10:30.
its that time of the end of summer when clothes go out dirt cheap. im talking less than 2 dollars per item.. isnt it great. were open extended trade for easter.. like what the?

went to work today.. and muriell was like.. plushies for 68 cents!!! and we were all like.. ur joking right? so i got four of them. my dog monty, cats tiffany and tabatha and a panda (which was promptly taken by my godbrother.) and i also bought him a Bob the Builder hat and library bag. can't say that i don't spoil him... lil brat.
it was laura's last day today =( =(

mums and i went to dfo and the markets today. and on the way, on the busy busy king georges, going at 70, there was this freakin corolla who tried to cut into my lane.

and he just tried to cut into my lane.
and i was like. WTF ARE YOU DOING. YOU'RE GONNA HIT ME. and i swear if i didnt beep him he wouldve. son of a..
anyhow, dfo is always good. got a couple of things for me (and therefore indirectly my sister) but more stuff for mum and dad. and the godbrother.
got a box of apple and the market n i had to carry it to the car which was super far. and bought 2 little goldfishies. and i swear if ari kills them this time i will hurt him bad.

so didn't have the best start to the day.. i had to wait for four trains before i could get on to one cause they were so packed. i was gonna get the syd term, but all these people were crowding around it and the people already on the train actually pushed people off (although imo there was still quite some space). and it turned into a bit of discriminatory thing. cause hursty, asians. shire, skips. etc etc. so this one guy and this bitchy woman, passengers already on the train, stood at the door to the entrance and was like

'back off! ur not getting on. fuck off!'

and it was sort of like.. who gave u the right to decide that no one else could get on?
so i finally got onto a train. and obviously by that time, i was running late and my frend was waiting for me at the bus stop. and i was like.. shit shit. get to central and its like WTFWTFWTF. the line was back to the bridge!!! so i was like oh crap.. we ended up being a half hour late to our lecture. oh wells. hahaha.
thurs night was crazy. nursery went off. =) and i gave in my availabilities today (basically but down and said nope, im not doing nightfill anymore) and mandy came in tonight and said that she got a new job n shes only doing like 2 shifts a week. and marwah was managing and she was like.. not happy. lol. and since lauras quit too.. we're kind of in need of a new person. im think im ok with it AS LONG AS i still get my hours. otherwise i'll be peeved.
assessments are beginning to pile up already. thank you week 1 uni.

company: was good most of the time. no longer felt as a group as all broken up.

finishing time: excellent thanks to dear val. wasn't even close to parking limit.
drive home: slow through newtown but refreshing.
talk with parents: hilarious. choked on water. another holiday? =D

night lectures take some getting use to. im really really tired now.
got my textbooks and was served by my cousin. it was like.. heeeeeeeey, r u gonna gimme an extra discount =P? jkjk legal books look so hectic. the readings are definitely hectic. i need to get a diary and my student id. but the lines were still massive at like 5:30.
so in summary for first day back at uni:
- parking in the carpark is a bitch
- too many people on the first day
- cant get student id
- books are heavy
im a bit stressed atm.

a little bit of trepidation
a little bit of excitement
a little bit of anticipation
and a whole lot of unwillingness.

at times, i thought it was going by so slowly but this last week has literally flew by and i can't understand why. its not like i pulled extra long hours at the store or that ive slept away the time or even that ive gone out so much. i guess its a little bit of everything.
lol marwah was asking for our availabilities today (caused lauras leaving us!!) and she was like im desperate. any extra shifts u can work, u need to tell me. and so we were at reception. and paul comes in, has his arms folded.

i kind of wanted a day to wind down and do the whole 'i-need-to-prepare-for-uni' ritual. (not that i know what i need to do..). i guess i'll have to settle for working in the morning, going shopping in the afternoon, spending a day with mum, picking up my sister and some other random and not so good things happening kind of day.
kind of feel like throwing a lot of things out in a massive room cleaning operation. but i dont think i have that much stuff to throw out.. hahaha.

so paul tells me to put kids coathangers on some of our baskets in kidwear. and obviously if the boss man tells u to do something, u dont really argue. and

ROFL and she went to confront him. hahahahaha. im sort of mixed. like.. it could be a great idea. hangers.. people buy clothes, need hangers to put them on. but kids is really lacking space so its two baskets that we couldnt put to better use since hangers are bulky. i guess time will tell if they sell.
girls 1-6 made uber awesome sales last week. we kicked roselands in the ass and we're heaps smaller. something about 150% of normal sales. u can tell when people start stripping ur mannequins for tops and when ur tables are literally stockless.
working mornings means u dont get to talk to ppl in the arvo but it means u dont waste the rest of ur day.
sarah (she's going to england sooooooooooooooon =(!!) and cat and grandma paid us a visit today. just as we were about to go out. so we all admired our new uber mega tv. =D
went shopping afta. fun fun. no more things for me. more groceries and bumming until monkey got back from tutoring. drank gloria jeans. i never thought i'd say this but its not as good as it was before and i havent had GJ in ages. either starbucks is catching up or its sinking to starbucks level. same difference. we bumped into all these people today. some who knew me but i didnt know wtf they were.. its so awkward.

i spent a whole day with my parents today. its such a rare thing that i should really treasure it more. but this was after i had to drive my sister's stuff to school cause she had red cross this morning (and some of them made it onto tv).
we went to blakehurst for some yum cha. the place is nice. foods average. and them went shopping with mum. and zomg, i buy all the really expensive sht (out of my own pocket) when im with her. i got my esprit trench!! its brown and worth every dollar. =D

it was so so so so quiet for a thurs night. good for us but turns out to be really boring. highlight of my night was nelson giving me nursery returns every 5 mins.
and talked with paul. i guess when u get to know him, he's not so bad. huge ambitions and maybe too aggressive a way to implement his changes. but its his store now. he has this vision for it and he wants us to help him make it happen. hes gonna need a few more brownie points from some people. im not disagreeing with wat he's saying but just feel that his attitude isnt skewered correctly at some stages. but good luck to him i guess.
oh and nads came in again.. to tell us all to go to dragonfly next friday. lol and if i didnt go jan and laura would drag me there. hahaha. =X

i literally had to wait for her. hhahaha a full 33 minutes at the bus stop. we went to uni for a total of like.. one hour. o-week isnt as fun anymore. i guess it wears off and well, there seems to be less and less (or are we getting boringer and boringer). we really only needed to go so that she could ask a couple of qs on her psych major. bumped into jess lee tho which was gd. nothing much has really changed at uni.
went back to central, had lunch and went to marketcity for a bit. wasn't all that much there so we headed up to town hall. wasn't all that much there either. except a swiss knife and a potential black headband with a bow. and supersweet jasmine tea. obviously i am not an easyway fan.
anyway, peak hour trains. how i wish i could forget them.. got back to hursty to get my second jab for the HPV. this one kinda stung a bit. im chicken at knowing that im gonna be jabbed but the actual physical part of being jabbed isnt all that bad. the doctor was laughing at me cause my mum and my sis were both there. no, it wasnt on purpose, the monkey was sick so she had to go see the doctor anyway. haha and she was like, dont be such a wuss, doesnt hurt, blah blah. says the girl who goes last night 'in the last needle, they have to put it through your veins instead of ur arm'. and guess who believed her. -_____________________-"

i originally was doing 9-1 but mans was sick and i had to stay all day. let me tell you now: it wasn't a good thing. and it all started during lunch. steve and clads and i were like.. lets go greasy. so we went to maccas.. and the air con was really cold in the store (and theres no air con in the lunch room). so i head back out to the floor and whoooof, its freezing. and so i think i caught the beginning of a chill. i was complaining all afternoon to laura (huge huge role reversal) and she was cracking up. i was in so much pain. lol. and it was 20% off all kidswear so you can imagine how hammered we got. so so soo bad. anyway, somehow managed to make in until 5.
and since it was martins birthday thing, had to rush home and get to the station by 6:30. (tats wat chu said anyway.. HE didnt rock up until like quarter too! *glares*) and since i have very good time management skills, peter n i had to end up waiting for his and clads who was running a bit late cause she had to stay back at work.
which brings us to the next point, why did martin pick 7 pm when he knew we'd all be working and rushing. wats wrong with 8!! and secondly, it was the mardi gras, the city was packed. and i mean packed.. everything.. trains, streets, hungry jacks, maccas, starbucks, buses. freakin everywhere were just people. and did the weather have to be so cold!
so naturally we were late. and clads and i decided that since we were gonna be late, we might as well stop at starbucks for a coffee. rofl. vanilla lattes are so yummy. and she had a large caramelatte. and HAHAHA omg, it was like massive.. bigger than the gloria jeans ones. and shes like.. oh fuck, i cant skull it cause its too hot. so we were standing outside captain torres cigarette in one hand (for clads anyway) and coffee in the other until we finished our coffees.
then we went up these freaky flights of stairs (trust his table to be on the third floor) and saw all da people there. i was actually really surprised at all the people i knew.. sam and h, julian, zoe, shirley. and clads was like.. i feel so out of place. apart from peter and that dude over there, im the only non-asian. ROFL. harry was like 'wtf? you work at target?!' and im like 'uh.. yeah. dude, ive said hi to u when im there a couple of times' now i get why he doesnt really acknowledge me.. he doesnt recognise me. lolol. and martins like dude, shes been there longer than me. hahaha anyway clads smokes dunhill and harry works for the company so they had an interesting conversation haha.
anyway we had 2 litres of sangria which is a fruity red wine thats really nice and refreshing between four of us. and fkfk, u dun feel the alcohol until u get up and clads the chronic smoker made me go with her for a few smoke breaks. so we had to go up and down those scary stairs. and hahaha she tried to open the emergency exit door from the outside twice. that was soooooooo funny. we had garlic prawns and mussels in this really nice chilli sauce with so much bread.. anyway since i wasnt feeling that good anyway, i think the bread and oil from the food made it worse.. like a bit of a stomach bug. =(
we ended up at some random bar after dinner but clads and i left pretty early cause i wasnt feeling too well and she had an appointment with her fuckbuddy. rofl. so i got home before 1. first time i caught the train home. we had to wait for a cab at hurst but the cab driver was sooo nice. got to my place and he got out and opened the door for me. lol (cause the childlock was in place..).
so got home, made myself throw up intentionally (felt sooooooo much better after) and tried to get some sleep. still feeling a bit buggish but it could be a lot worse.
but i did have a good time. oh and its so funny cause i knew the people and theyre like.. and you are? so i had to explain to them -_-"
